If you are the descendant of an adopted adult who is still living you are not allowed access to their adoption records or their birth certificate without a court order.
If you are the descendant of an adopted adult who is deceased, you may request information from their adoption records through the county and/or adoption facilitator. At this time, descendants may not get a copy of the adoptee's original birth certificate without a court order.
